Now you may be wondering:
What can I get if I blog, Sir?
The following are some of the benefits that you can get if you become a blogger:
- Become a Great Writer
To be honest, the first time I got to know my blog, I was a person who couldn’t really write. It was very difficult for me to just write one sentence.
This is natural considering that my background was not an educated person, only a junior high school graduate who was not very smart.
But since becoming a blogger, Alhamdulillah little by little I started to be able to write fluently. Although it can’t be said that it’s good, but I think it’s been very extraordinary.
Well, if you are a person who likes to write, then I am sure that if you blog, your writing skills will increase and it is not impossible to become a great writer.
- Helping Others
The benefits of blogging are also not just for ourselves, because from blogs we can also help others with the knowledge or knowledge we have.
There is nothing more fun than blogging than being able to help others.
- Build Reputation on the Internet
When we can provide useful information through blogs, we will gain trust and reputation on the internet.
What is the importance of reputation, sir?
I’m sure my friend knows that the online world is growing. Internet users every day continues to grow and more and more people are starting to develop their business into the online world.
One of the keys to online business success is reputation. Well, blogs are a great place to build that reputation.
- Networking
Another benefit is that we can easily build networks through blogs. If our blog is consistently filled with useful writings according to our expertise, then more and more loyal readers will diligently visit our blog.
If we already have trust and also an extensive network on the internet, it will be very easy to develop a business on the internet.
- Make Money
Finally, of course, blogs can also be a source of income. How to? I will explain in more detail below.

How to Become a Successful Blogger
Where to Start?

Starting a blog is actually very easy, but most people are confused by themselves.
- Set Goals
Is the purpose of blogging important? Very important. If we don’t have a goal, it’s certain that our blog will not be clear where the destination is going, and we also become inconsistent in managing our blog.
Blogging takes time, energy, and thought. Don’t let everything go to waste because you don’t have a clear goal.
- Determine the Topic
Choose a topic that you are really interested in according to your hobbies or expertise. If you choose a topic that you don’t really like, then your blog won’t last long.
- Choose a Blog Platform
There are so many services that we can use for blogging, such as Blogger.com, WordPress.com, and so on. All have their own advantages and disadvantages.
But I think Blogger.com is the right choice for you. Apart from being free, blogger.com is very easy to use for beginners.
- Start Writing
If you already have a blog then the most important thing is to fill your blog with writing. Start writing whatever you want to write according to the topic that you have specified.
- Beautify Blog
Things that are actually not so important for beginner bloggers but there’s nothing wrong with doing it as long as it’s not excessive.
Buddy can change the template or appearance of your blog with a better one, install widgets to make it more beautiful to look at, and so on.
But remember! don’t overdo it because most beginner bloggers are addicted to changing templates or views which end up just a waste of time.
Mistakes Beginner Bloggers Often Make

After you know how to start blogging, then you should listen to some mistakes that are often made by beginner bloggers.
These errors are based on my personal experience. Of course, by reading this, you don’t have to do the same thing
- Too Busy With Display
As I mentioned a little above, the mistake that most beginner bloggers make is being too busy with the appearance of the blog. Change templates, install widgets, etc.
Having a cool blog display is good, but what will make your blog big and known to many people is not because of the appearance, but because of the content you present on your blog.
- Emphasize Quantity over Quality
Beginner bloggers usually compete to fill their blogs with as much writing as possible in the hope of quickly getting a lot of visitors regardless of whether the posts are written by themselves or the results of plagiarism of other bloggers’ writings.
- Reading Too Much Information But Lack of Practice
As a novice blogger, you are usually very curious. Read this read that until his head is full of information and confused which one to put into practice. Better a little information but actually practiced than a lot of information but not used at all.
- Inconsistent
In the beginning, I was very diligent in updating posts regularly every day, but after that it suddenly disappeared somewhere. Regularly updating the blog is very good, but consistency in my opinion is much more important.
- Discussing Too Many Topics
Is it a problem to cover multiple topics? absolutely not. But what is certain is that your blog will be difficult to develop, has no uniqueness, has no identity, and will be difficult to get loyal readers.
- Too Obsessed with Blog Statistics
A beginner blogger will usually be very diligent in checking the number of visitors, alexa ranking, pagerank, and so on. A day can check up to hundreds of times. Even though this will not help increase the number of visitors to your blog and will only be a waste of time.
- Creating Too Many Blogs
Honestly enough experienced bloggers who manage many blogs, tens or even hundreds. But especially for beginners, it is not recommended to create too many blogs because it will make them unfocused.
Even though you are no longer a beginner, I don’t think managing multiple blogs is a must. It all depends on your goals. If you want to create a blog to be popular and last a long time, then there is no reason to manage multiple blogs.
- Too Ambitious to Get Money Fast
It is undeniable that many bloggers start blogging because they want to earn money. They think that making money from a blog can be done overnight, but that’s not the case. It takes time, effort and consistency.
I myself can only make money after two years of blogging. That’s quite a long time considering I started completely from scratch. Buddy may be faster or longer. What is clear is that it takes time, effort and consistency.
- Not Making the Most of the Google Search Engine
Not just a blog problem, we can find any information easily on google. So make good use of Google to learn blogging.
Start Developing a Blog

If we already have a blog and some content in it, then of course we want our blog to have many readers or visitors. Now, this is where we start doing what is called promotion, getting to know SEO and its details.
- Stay Focused on Creating Quality Content
Content will always be the main factor in the success of a blog. Create really quality content. What is quality content like:
Wanted by readers

Useful and useful

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is an effort to optimize our blog on search engines. If you want your blog to get lots of visitors from search engines, then inevitably you have to deal with SEO.
But you don’t really need to be an SEO expert to be able to get visitors from search engines. Just using a basic SEO understanding I think is enough to help increase your blog’s traffic from search engines.

- Blogwalking
Blogwalking is simply an activity of visiting other people’s blogs while leaving comments. Blogwalking is an old method that is often used by beginner bloggers to get visitors, but until now this method is still effective.
In addition to getting blogwalking visitors, it also has many other benefits, including:
Fostering ties of friendship with fellow bloggers
Getting backlinks which is one of the most important SEO factors
Get ideas or inspiration
and others
- Social Media
It is undeniable that nowadays most people spend their time on social media. Make good use of social media as a place to promote your blog.
- Forums
On the internet there are lots of forums that contain people who have certain hobbies or interests. Join the forums that match the topic of your blog.
The point is to be active where your readers often spend their time. You can discuss with them according to the topics you are interested in and occasionally promote your blog. The most important thing is not to over-promote because some forums have strict regulations.
Read my post on how to increase blog visitors for more details.
Make Money from Blog
If your blog is big, already has a lot of readers, then it never hurts to start making your blog a money-making machine.
Is it possible, sir???
Really can bro. Even the income from the blog can also be extraordinary big bro.
As long as we want to consistently blog, getting income from blogs is not impossible even though we only have a free blog platform.
Linda Ikeji, who is a blogger from Nigeria, is a simple example who has succeeded in earning quite a large income from a free blog with consistency.
This blogger’s income reaches 800 million/month only from one blog which is located at https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/.

Is this Linda Ikeji the blogger with the most income in the world?
Yes, definitely not bro.. if you want to know which blogger has the highest income, then the answer is Arianna Huffington.
The owner of The Huffington Post blog has an income of up to 8 billion every month. WOW!

I myself have also felt the name of getting income from blogs. Even though her income is not as big as Linda Ikeji, especially Arianna Huffington, there is nothing wrong with having a dream to be like them.
So now the question is… HOW DO YOU HAVE BRO….??
There are so many ways to make money from a blog. Here are some of the most popular ways to make money blogging:
- Advertising Network
The most popular way that many Indonesian bloggers use to make money from blogs is by joining an advertising network program or Advertising Networks.
By following a program like this we only need to put a script or code into our blog to display ads automatically.
We will be paid every time someone clicks on an ad on our blog, or PPC alias Pay Per Click.
The following are some of the most popular Advertising Networks:
- Google AdSense
- media.net
- and many more
- Sell Ad Space on Blog
In addition to through Advertising Networks, we can also offer advertising space on our blog directly to anyone who is interested in advertising on our blog.
The advantage of this method is that the income we get will be more certain, because we ourselves will determine the price.
- Sell Your Own Products
One way I’m doing it myself on this blog is to sell my own products. If you have your own product, whether it’s a physical or digital product, it would be great if you sell it through a blog.
- Sell Services
Selling services can also be another alternative to making money from a blog. If you are good at writing, then you can try selling article writing services. If you are good at design, you can also sell design services. And there are many more services that you can offer through blogs.
- Join the Affiliate Program
If you want to sell products on your own blog but don’t have products that you can sell, then you can try joining an affiliate program.
Affiliate is a program where we help market other people’s products and we will get a commission for every sale.
- And many more..
The 5 ways above are just a small part of what we can do to make money from blogs. There are many other methods that are no less good for making money from blogs.
How to be a good blogger
Being a blogger is actually much more powerful than just a profession that makes money.
By becoming a blogger, you can change the world.
Yups, my friend did not misread, CHANGE THE WORLD.
The trick is to make your blog a place to spread positive, useful, inspiring, or motivating information to many people on the internet.
The phrase “Many people” here does not mean millions of people. Hundreds or even tens of people in my opinion is a lot.
Of course, by providing benefits to many people on the internet through blogs will help change the world for the better.
Well I think this is an extraordinary combination. Where we can make the blog that we have as a medium to change the world, and on the other hand can be a source of personal income.
But if you don’t want to change the world, then at least don’t be a blogger who makes the world worse.
What example, sir?
An example is to justify all means just for the sake of the blog itself.
For example, by writing articles that cannot be accounted for, hoaxes, slander, and so on.
This method can indeed benefit oneself, but it will harm others, harm many people, harm this country, harm the world.
Closing
Learning to blog is actually not a difficult thing as long as we have the will. Mistakes or failures are a natural thing in the learning process, so you don’t have to worry if maybe you can’t see the results right now. The most important thing is to be consistent.
I can’t believe this post is quite long. Hopefully the tips on how to become a successful blogger that I wrote above can benefit all of you, especially for those who are just learning to blog.
Thank you.
